Devotionals

On this page we'll post all devotional materials written for your spiritual enrichment. Our devotionals will include prayers, a devotional message, questions which may stimulate your reflection and/or journaling and even some suggestions for action following your reading. Please feel free to print them and share them with family and friends. We sometimes have devotionals done especially for children with age appropriate activities to go along with the stories presented. We will also have special family worship resources during Advent/Christmas and Lent. Our next devotional offerings will begin with Advent of 2010.

A WORD ABOUT THESE DEVOTIONALS

There is something very special about spending quality time alone with our Savior. Chalice Dove understands this and has provided Journey of Love Devotionals to help you to have a companion for the journey. We know that we are not the only ones who have done this and you have probably encountered some of them. Many are very short, offering a moment or two of calm before you jump back into the mainstream of life. For many, this is all that is desired. But for many of us, such a taste only whets our appetite for more. These devotionals are an answer for those who desire more than a minute or two of special time spent with the Lord. It is suggested that at least 15 minutes and hopefully longer will be spent with the Lord with these devotionals as a starting place. Because this is our intention, the prayers, messages, suggestions for reflection and/or journaling and action suggestions are more detailed than many devotional booklets may give. Please use them in whatever way meets your needs. If you do not have the time or inclination for journaling, use the questions to spawn reflection while you are driving or waiting for the children or washing the dishes or whenever you have a moment which may leave a part of the mind free to think about our Lord. The questions or actions which are suggested may not be valid for you. If so, think about the questions or actions which occur to you through the reading.
