Finally Online!
After
many months of indecision, learning about web design and fear that it will not be good enough, we are finally online!
As I said in my first post to this blog, I really don't know what I'm doing, but I feel strongly that God will bless
this new web ministry and help those who are seeking spiritual enrichment for themselves and their friends and family find
this site and find it a blessing. I know that it has much room for improvement and I welcome your suggestions.
Parts of it are still under construction, but, hopefully all the sections will have content soon which will be meaningful

Welcome!
Welcome
to my first entry into the world of blogging! I haven't a clue yet what I'm doing, so I'm just going
to begin writing and hope that I have something to say that will be of interest to someone, including myself. My name
is Connie Burke and I'm the director of Chalice Dove. When I first answered my call to ministry I did a lot of praying
and searching for the directions which God was leading me to follow. In that searching, Chalice Dove Spiritual Enrichment
Ministries was born. One of the first things which came out of this ministry was my recognition of a gift for spiritual
writing especially in the area of devotionals. One of the things which has bolstered my own spiritual searching along
my faith journey is the wonderful way the Lord seems to lead my devotional writing and the lessons which I learn from
the Lord during the writing. It seems like nearly every devotional that I have written was pointed at my own spiritual
need rather than someone else's needs. Perhaps that's the way it is supposed to happen; we have a spiritual
need and the Lord meets it as we pursue our own lives and in the case of a writer is passed on to others. At any rate,
that's seems to be the case for me and others who have read my writing have given me enough positive feedback that I continue
to write. I've since become the pastor of a church and have found the same support for my sermons that I have had
for the devotionals. I seem to have found a fount of spiritual thoughts which flow into sermons and devotionals alike.
Are they great sermons or devotionals? I don't know. I only write what is in my heart and take it from there.
Will this blog be anything special? I haven't a clue. We'll just have to see how things progress from
here. I would be pleased to hear from you from time to time to let me know if this is going anywhere. Thanks for
letting me share a little of myself with you. This is a new web site and there are lots of new ideas we have never tried
